Delete a project

Remove a project from this Mac after you confirm it by typing its name.

Intermediate3 stepsMac

Before you start

  • You are sure you no longer need the project. Think about Archive first.

Steps

  1. Click Actions on the card, then choose Delete Project….

Delete Project… is the last item, below a divider. Nothing is deleted until you confirm in the next sheet.

  2. Read the sheet Delete “Night Bus”?

It says this is the most destructive action in OpenFrame and that the whole project will be removed from this Mac. The project folder (ideas, story, screenplay, production plans and stored files) is moved to the Trash. Files linked from other folders are not touched. Delete Project stays off until you type the name. Archive Instead keeps everything and only hides the project from your recent list.

  3. Type the project name in the box labelled Type the project name to confirm, then click Delete Project.

Once the name matches, Delete Project turns on. Cancel closes the sheet and keeps the project.

What you get

The project is removed from your list and its folder is in the Trash.

Watch out for

  • This is the most destructive action in OpenFrame. If you are not sure, click Archive Instead.
  • The folder goes to the Trash, where macOS keeps it until you empty the Trash.
