Find and remove words from your personal dictionary

Filter a long list, remove a word and undo the removal.

Beginner3 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • Your personal dictionary has words in it.

Steps

  1. Look at the list. A count above it says how many words you have, for example 14 words.

Each word is a small pill with an x. When there are more than twelve words a Filter words box appears above the list.

  2. Type part of a word in Filter words, for example ra.

Only matching words stay in the list. Clear the box to see all of them again.

  3. Click the x on a word to remove it.

The word leaves the list and a message says Removed “Rayapuram” from your dictionary. Click Undo in the message to put it back, or Dismiss to close it.

What you get

The dictionary holds only the words you want to keep.

Watch out for

  • Once you dismiss the message, bring a removed word back by adding it again.
