OpenFrame AIStop OpenFrame AI or remove OpenFrame AI
Free the memory OpenFrame AI uses, or remove the downloaded models to free disk space.
Before you start
- OpenFrame AI is downloaded and ready.
Steps
To free memory only, click Stop Offline AI (free memory).
OpenFrame AI stops and a message says Offline AI stopped. It starts again when you ask something. Your downloaded files stay where they are. Use this when another heavy program needs the memory.
To free disk space, click Remove OpenFrame AI….
This opens a confirmation. Nothing is removed yet.
Read Remove OpenFrame AI? and click Remove.
It says: This frees the space the AI models use on this computer. AI stays off until you download it again. Your projects are not changed. Cancel keeps everything. The x closes the dialog. Remove is red because it deletes the downloaded files. A message then says OpenFrame AI was removed and that you can download it again here.
What you get
Either the memory is free, or the downloaded models are gone and the panel offers the download again.
Watch out for
- Removing means a new download of about 1.2 GB if you want OpenFrame AI back.
- Your projects, ideas, screenplays and OpenFrame AI's settings are not touched.
