FilesDelete a file
Remove a file from the project list and keep it recoverable for 30 days.
Before you start
- At least one file is in the project.
Steps
Click the ... button on the row and choose Delete, or select the row and press Del.
Delete is the red item at the bottom of the menu, with the Del shortcut. The details drawer has a Delete button too. There is no confirmation dialog because the file is recoverable.
Read the message at the bottom: Moved “Tour permit letter v2” to Recently Deleted.
Click Undo to bring it back at once. Dismiss, or the x, closes the message.
Deleting a linked file works the same way.
The message reads Moved followed by the file name and to Recently Deleted. Only the reference in the project is removed. The original file on disk is never touched.
What you get
The file leaves the list and waits in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
Watch out for
- After 30 days, or after Delete Permanently, a stored copy is gone for good. Export a copy first if you need to keep it.
