Preview a built-in template

Look inside a template before you use it.

Beginner2 stepsMac

Before you start

  • The Templates tab is open.

Steps

  1. Click the three dots on a card. For example the card of Feature Film Screenplay.

The menu has Preview, Start the screenplay, Use in This Project and Copy to My Templates. The second item changes with the kind of template, so a call sheet says Create a call sheet.

  2. Choose Preview, or click the card.

A panel opens with the name, Screenplay starter · Built-in and its description, Feature film · three acts. A Scenes list shows what it contains: 1. EXT. OPENING LOCATION - DAY, 2. INT. MIDPOINT LOCATION - NIGHT and 3. EXT. FINAL LOCATION - DAY. Close shuts the panel. Start the screenplay and Use in This Project are at the bottom.
