Read the relationship map

See how every character is connected, or only one character's direct relationships.

Beginner3 stepsMac

Before you start

  • The project has relationships.

Steps

  1. Click Relationship Map at the top of a character, or Whole film map in the list header.

Relationship Map shows that character's relationships. Whole film map shows everyone.

  2. Read the map.

The page is titled Character relationships and says: Every character with a relationship, the most connected first. Choose a name to see just their relationships. Each person is a labelled box joined by arrows, and the wording sits on the line. A list under the map names each relationship and has a Remove button. Back to Characters returns to the directory, and Add Relationship adds another.

  3. Open the map for a character who has no relationships.

The page is titled with the name, for example DEVI: relationships, and says Only this character's direct relationships. It says DEVI has no relationships yet and suggests adding one such as father of or colleague of. Whole film map shows everyone else.

What you get

You can see the connections between your characters at a glance.

Watch out for

  • Remove in the list under the map deletes that relationship, not the characters.
