SettingsSee where your library and projects are kept
Find the library folder, open it, and see what each Storage card does.
Before you start
- The Settings window is open, or Project Settings is open on its Storage tab.
Steps
Click Storage.
The page says: Where your work is kept on this computer, and how to move, back up or reconnect it. The first card, Your OpenFrame library, shows the folder. Back up this folder: it holds library.json, which remembers who you are on this computer and where your work is, so a reinstall finds everything again. By default it also holds your projects and the Global Idea Vault.
Click Open Folder to show the library folder in Finder.
Move Library… moves the whole library to another place. Locate Existing Library… connects OpenFrame to a library you already have, for example after a reinstall.
Look at Folder for new projects and click Change Folder… if you want a different one.
New projects are created here unless you choose another folder when you create one. Changing it does not move the projects you already have.
What you get
You know which folder holds your work and how to reach it.
Watch out for
- Back up the library folder, not only single projects. library.json lives there.
- Changing Folder for new projects only affects projects you create afterwards.
