Read what a diagnostics bundle includes

Know exactly what a support bundle contains before you make or share one.

Intermediate2 stepsMac

Before you start

  • The Settings window is open.

Steps

  1. Click Diagnostics.

The page says a diagnostics bundle helps the team find a problem, that it never contains your project text, and that you choose where it is saved and whether to send it.

  2. Read the list under What the bundle includes.

The bundle holds a list of its files, the app and system versions, recent error codes with how often they occurred, how long slow operations took, and the most recent log lines. ai-status.json holds the offline AI status, with no folders or file paths. Each entry shows its size.

What you get

You know what a bundle would contain.

Watch out for

  • You choose where a bundle is saved and whether to send it. Project text is never in it.
