Screenplay

Add another screenplay to the project

Start a separate screenplay, for example a short version, next to the one you have.

Intermediate3 stepsMac

Before you start

  • A project is open on Screenplay.

Steps

  1. Click the screenplay picker at the left of the bar.

The menu lists each screenplay with its draft count, for example LOST PROPERTY · 1 draft, then New Screenplay…, Rename Screenplay… and Delete Screenplay…. Choose a screenplay in the list to open it.

  2. Choose New Screenplay… and type a Title.

The sheet says: A separate screenplay with its own drafts, locked drafts, scene numbers and page setup. Your other screenplays are not changed. A hint suggests a title such as the short version, or a second episode you shoot together. Cancel closes it, Create Screenplay makes it.

  3. If the title is already used, read the red message.

It says: Another screenplay here already has this title. Choose a different title. Change the title and click Create Screenplay again.

What you get

A new, empty screenplay is created and shown in the picker.

Watch out for

  • Each screenplay is separate. A draft or a lock in one screenplay does not affect another.
