Production PlanOpen Production and read an empty Overview
Find Production, see what its Overview shows before a screenplay is chosen, and know what the empty cards mean.
Before you start
- A project is open. It does not need a screenplay yet.
Steps
Click Production in the project sidebar. The page opens on Overview.
The title is Production and the line under it asks: What do I need to do next to prepare the shoot? The pop-up at the top, next to the word Production, shows Overview. Use it later to move between the sections.
Read the blue note at the top of the page.
It says: Production starts from a named screenplay draft. Choose it with Start Production Setup. Your screenplay is not changed, and you do not recreate any scene by hand. Start Production Setup is the button at the top right.
Look at the five cards.
Script status reads No source yet and says Choose the draft production is based on. Breakdown progress reads 0 / 0 scenes marked complete. Unresolved locations reads 0 with No locations yet. Unresolved cast reads 0 characters without an actor (of 0). Catalog reads 0 reusable production items. Under NEEDS ATTENTION the page says Nothing needs attention right now.
What you get
You know where Production is and what an empty Overview looks like.
Watch out for
- The cards stay at zero until a screenplay draft is chosen as the Production Source. Click Start Production Setup to choose it.
