OpenFrame AI

Read the message when AI is not available

Understand what the panel says when Offline AI is missing, and what to do about it.

Beginner3 stepsMac

Before you start

  • OpenFrame AI panel is open.

Steps

  1. Read the heading AI is not available right now in the middle of the panel.

The text under it says: Offline AI is missing from this installation, so it can't start. Reinstall OpenFrame Studio to repair it. Your projects were not changed.

  2. Read the smaller line at the bottom: Everything else in OpenFrame works normally.

Only OpenFrame AI is affected. Writing, planning, exporting and every other workspace keep working. Reinstalling OpenFrame Studio repairs the missing piece.

  3. To see more detail, click Settings in the panel header and choose Offline AI settings….

This opens the Offline AI page. See Open Offline AI settings from OpenFrame AI.

What you get

You know OpenFrame AI is off because Offline AI is missing, that your project is safe, and that a reinstall repairs it.

Watch out for

  • The message says your projects were not changed. OpenFrame AI failing to start never touches your work.
