Idea VaultCopy an idea between a project and the Global Idea Vault
Keep a copy of a project idea where every film can reach it.
Before you start
- The project vault has an item.
Steps
Select an item and click Copy to Global Vault in the selection bar. You can also click it at the top of the inspector, or choose it from the card menu.
The same button is in the selection bar, the inspector and the card menu.
Read the Copy to Global Vault sheet.
It says: The copy is independent. Editing it will not change this project's item, and the project item stays where it is. A box shows the item and where it comes from, here Project note. Copy into names the Global Idea Vault. Collection (optional) is a menu that starts at None and lets you put the copy in one of the Global Idea Vault's collections.
Click Copy to Global Vault. Cancel closes the sheet and copies nothing.
The copy is added to the Global Idea Vault. To go the other way, open an idea in the Global Idea Vault and click Copy to Project.
What you get
The idea exists in both vaults as two separate items.
Watch out for
- A copy is independent. Changing it later does not change the original.
