Sides

Preview the sides for a shooting day

Choose a day and see its script pages at once.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A shooting schedule with at least one shooting day that has scenes. The screenplay has a production source set in the Breakdown.

Steps

  1. Open Production and click Sides in the row of tabs.

The Setup panel opens at the left with the first shooting day chosen, here Shoot Day 1 · Mon 9 Nov 2026. All of that day's scenes are ticked and All cast is selected, so the preview on the right is already showing pages.

  2. Read the title line at the top of the preview.

It reads NIGHT BUS · SIDES · SHOOT DAY 1 · Second Draft: the project, the word SIDES, the day and the name of the screenplay draft the pages come from. Below it are the scenes of the day with their numbers, headings, action, character names and dialogue.

  3. Open the Shooting day box and choose another day, for example Shoot Day 4 · Thu 12 Nov 2026.

The Scenes list changes to that day's scenes, 9 to 12, all ticked, and the preview follows. Choosing a different day clears any scene ticks or cast choices you had made.

  4. Click Preview if you want the pages refreshed.

The preview updates by itself when you change a setting. Preview is there to show the live pages again, for example after you have been looking at a saved set.

What you get

The right half shows the script pages for the day you chose.

Watch out for

  • The pages are copied from the screenplay as it is now. If you change the script later, the live preview changes, but a saved set does not.
