Cast and crewCast someone for a character who is not in the script yet
Create a new character while you add a person.
Before you start
- Your role can edit.
Steps
Click Add Person and type the person's name.
Use this for a part you plan to add, such as a station master the script does not mention yet.
In Create a new character, type the character name, for example THE STATION MASTER.
The hint says: For a character that isn't in the script yet. Typing here overrides any character chosen in the list above, and the choice list stops showing a selection. If there are no characters at all, the list says No characters found in the Production Source yet. Create one below.
Choose Primary actor and click Assign.
The new character is created and linked to the person. It is a production record, so it does not appear in your screenplay by itself.
What you get
The person and a new character appear in the Cast list.
Watch out for
- Use Choose a character first. Create a new character only for a name that is not in the script.
