Undo, redo and search from the Edit menu

Tell text undo from project undo, and open Search and Commands.

Beginner2 stepsMac

Before you start

  • OpenFrame Studio is the front app.

Steps

  1. Click Edit in the menu bar.

The first four items are two kinds of undo. Undo (Command-Z) and Redo (Shift-Command-Z) work on text you are typing. Undo Project Change (Option-Command-Z) and Redo Project Change (Option-Shift-Command-Z) work on changes to the whole project.

  2. Look further down the menu, with a project open.

Cut (Command-X), Copy (Command-C), Paste (Command-V), Delete and Select All (Command-A) are the usual editing commands. Search and Commands… (Command-K) opens the search window. AutoFill, Start Dictation… and Emoji & Symbols are added by macOS.

What you get

You can undo a typing mistake or a project change, and open Search and Commands from the menu.

Watch out for

  • Command-Z undoes text. To undo a change made to the project, such as a deleted item, use Undo Project Change.
